Is anyone still reading this?

Ok Really, is anyone looking here?  Obviously my BFL attempt has not happened.  I have been watching what I eat and getting my body moving more.  I have lost 10 pounds and I'm pretty darn proud about that.  I do still want to start and FINISH a BFL challenge.  I'm going to set myself a new start date.  I'm thinking September.  Until then I will continue doing what I am doing.  Life is so busy!

Every little bit helps!

BFL Day # Countdown T-5
Reason: I'll explain this part soon!
Plan: still working on set up
Okay, so I have put batteries in my bathroom scale (Ugh!) and I have set up my TRX system, got out my workout journal, dug out my shake mixes.  I still have to do 'before' photos and measurements (double Ugh!) which will be posted right here for all the world to see (Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!).
Since my post on Monday I have been watching what I eat and making sure I am getting enough water.  TWS (that's how I will refer to my Hubby on this blog) put an app on my phone to track my hydration levels.  I honestly don't think it is a problem but today is my first full day with it on my iphone so I will see how it goes.  I'm actually, finally getting it into my head that food is simply fuel for my body and the better decisions I make, the better I will feel. (i.e. choosing a banana and granola/yogurt over another cup of coffee and cheese bagel; choosing an apple as a snack instead of potato chips...Mmmmm chips, I love chips...).  I have cut down my morning coffee to one cup then switching to caffiene free tea.  Every little bit helps!
My next post will be about how I plan to make this BFL challenge a challenge of numbers.

Crossing The Abyss

BFL Day # Countdown T-7
Reason: I'll explain this part later this week
Plan: still working on set up
Notes: All right people!  It's time to get serious about getting healthy.

(part of the entry I made into the BFL community forum on March 11)

I am really disgusted with myself for allowing myself to get this way. I am now heavier than I ever have been in my whole life, including throughout my three pregnancies. There are so many things I want to say and want to write but today I'm not going to dwell on them. I have been preparing to start for 4 days; gathering my BFL book, workout journal (that still has notes from my last challenge - 2003!! 10 years ago!). I don't have a lot of room to work out but I have a rowing maching for cardio and a TRX for strength training. The first work out will be the first time I will have the TRX out of the package so it will take a little longer and will be a bit of a learning curve. I also have a really excellent set of free weights and a bench but no room to set them up.
I will do this. I want to be healthy. I want to feel better. I want to look better.
My husband is doing this challenge with me but he is an extremely private person and wouldn't appreciate my rambling on like this. So I will blog here  look to the BFL community for companionship/support. I would love to hear from you and look forward to chatting with you.
Looking ahead this week:
Tomorrow I will write about how I am going to make this BFL challenge a game of numbers.
I need to do some meal pre-planning and grocery shopping in preparation for the BFL eating plan.
I need to check my USANA vitamins and protein shakes and order more if necessary.
I need to set up my workout/food/meal plan journal and dig out BFL book.
I need to take before photos and measurements Ugh!

Okay, here I go!
